over the verandah of No. 51 she disappeared and reappeared, on

her reappearing she beckoned me up by a motion of her hand;

thinking I was required to be shown that the nuisances con-

plained of on Tuesday had been abated I went up to the premises,

the kitchen. I walked out to

the kitchen expecting to find

everything removed but was sur-

prised to find that nothing had

been done. The lady remained in

the room during my inspection

and on my return from the kitchen

she was standing between the wash

stand and her bed, the space bet-

ween being the passage way to

the kitchen and very narrow about

2 feet 6" I remarked that

nothing had been done and was

about to proceed out when she

stood in my way remarkng that it

was very hot and taking hold of

my hat and stick and also sug-

gested I should take off my
